The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) Pavilion takes visitors on a journey to understand our connection to energy. It offers an immersive, sensory expedition that challenges our conventional understandings and inspires us to come together to shape the future of energy.   

The pavilion’s experience unfolds over four “houses” designed to resemble traditional oil storage tanks, each following a distinctive theme: Discover, Harness, Connect and Reimagine. ENOC Pavilion is also home to "the Hive", a space designed to facilitate knowledge exchange and foster communications between partners, customers, industry experts and peers.

With a design that cleverly reimagines the heritage of its central product, the Emirates National Oil Company Pavilion consists of separate cylindrical structures inspired by traditional oil storage tanks.

This agricultural marvel makes the most of three of the UAE’s abundant natural resources: the sun, the sea and the sand. Learn how raising tilapia, a fish that can survive in hot, salty water, benefits the Desert Farm’s crops. Find out more about tasty desert superhero plants like salicornia (sea beans) and quinoa, which both thrive on saltwater. Discover how scientists are trying to turn deserts into farmland for grazing animals to curb deforestation. As climate change causes deserts to spread, this kind of farming isn’t just inspiring. It’s the key to keeping the world fed. You’ll never look at the desert the same way again.

The Desert Farm is an open-sided structure shaded by a V-shaped roof. The space is lined with waist-high panels adorned with trailing green plants and a large vertical garden wall welcomes visitors. Under the roofline, an open exhibit space is surrounded by small trees and crops growing in planter boxes. In the centre is a large aquarium full of tilapia fish.

Itaipú’s generators supply nearly 80 per cent of Paraguay's electricity and 25 per cent of Brazil’s electricity needs. The Paraguay Pavilion details the strategic potential of water in the country when it comes to renewable energy as well as how Paraguay connects to the world via its rivers and food production. The pavilion also highlights its cultural riches, sustainable development, and fresh business opportunities.

This West African nation on the Gulf of Guinea boasts beaches and rugged mountains, but its greatest natural resource is the Togolese people. The Togo Pavilion showcases the innovation and ingenuity of its citizens, including notable start-ups and technological inventions. One project proudly on display is the CIZO (“sun” in Togolese) rural electrification project, a vital solar power initiative that aims to bring light, water and energy to villages, farms and health centres across the country. CIZO’s slogan is “On y va” or “Let’s Go”. Consider that a rallying cry for this ambitious nation.

Hammour House - Audio Guide

Hammour House is an experiential art installation and community project that raises awareness about endangered coral ecosystems by creating a 'reef' using recycled and sustainable materials. Named after the orange-spotted grouper, or hammour fish, local to the Arabian Gulf’s coral, the installation combines student paintings to form vibrant floating panels that mimic local reefs. With contributions from artists, students, fishermen and research institutions, the project also offers publications, workshops and talks during Expo. This project was inspired by the One Thousand and One Nights story of Abdullah the Fisherman and Abdullah the Merman.

A colourful message of conservation and discovery of the aquatic world awaits at the ever-evolving community art project Hammour House. This unique experiential installation raises awareness about endangered coral ecosystems by creating an imaginative, walk-through 'reef' from children’s artwork, ghost nets and recycled plastic that would have ordinarily ended up in landfills.

The Oman Pavilion takes visitors on a panoramic tour of one of the Arabian Peninsula’s great treasures: frankincense, used in perfumes and incense since ancient times.

Omanis have been harvesting and trading this precious resin for some 5,000 years, and their expertise, care and innovation are on full display in every corner of the whimsically tree-shaped pavilion. Visit with a hyper-real animatronic Boswellia sacra tree, learn the resin’s history and heritage from virtual-reality storytellers, explore a botanical “library of life” tended by robots – or just let the delicate aromas of frankincense relax you at the pavilion’s scent bar.


Oman

The Oman Pavilion is both mystical and futuristic. Pale wood slats are vertically arranged to form a trunk that balloons out, stretching upward in an organic, tree-like shape. The structures branches vary in width and weight and cup a white drum-like building patterned with lacy shapes that resemble roots and leaves.

With lofty mountains in the west, the glistening Black Sea in the east and plenty of cosy mineral springs in between, Bulgaria boasts a wealth of stunning sights to explore.
