في فبراير عام 1968، التقى الآباء المؤسسون للدولة في ظل خيمة صحراوية وزرعوا فكرة نمت لتصبح  رؤية مستقبلية عظيمة ألا وهي: دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
انطلاقاً من روح التعاون نفسها، يعتبر جناح "مبدعون في الخير من إكسبو لايف" مساحة عرض ملهمة ومخصصة لتسليط الضوء على آفاق الإمكانات البشرية والأشخاص  الذين يعملون على تطويرها من خلال برنامج إكسبو لايف للابتكار والعمل المشترك.

تصميم المعرض مستوحى من نفس الخيمة التي نشأت فيها دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، ويعرض الجناح الابتكارات الاجتماعية التي نشأت  للإرتقاء بحياتنا إلى الأفضل.

تم تصميم مبدعون في الخير من قبل المهندس المعماري الإماراتي الشهير أحمد عبد الرحمن بوخش ، وقد وسع شكل الخيمة البدوية لتصبح مظلة بيضاء أنيقة ، مطوية بسبع زوايا تشبه الأوريغامي من كل جانب وترتفع إلى قمة شاهقة. وتطفو الخيمة  فوق صندوق زجاجي.

With a design inspired by the tent where the UAE was conceived, the pavilion showcases social innovations conceived to improve our lives. Come and meet ordinary people doing extraordinary things – and be inspired to join our global community.

Designed by renowned Emirati architect Ahmad Abdulrahman Bukhash, The Good Place’s structure expands the Bedouin tent shape into an elegant white canopy, folded with seven origami-like angles on each side to join at a tall peak. The tent seems to float over a clean, glass box.

The People’s Promise for Climate Impact will be a celebration of and catalyst for youth-led action across the globe, inspiring and empowering you to play an active role in tackling climate change. 
    The People’s Promise for Climate Impact will help you understand your impact as a citizen, student, innovator, creative and future or current leader – empowering you to act and help secure a climate-safe future for all. A global gathering of young changemakers and climate leaders from the areas of science, policy and business this event provides a diverse range of perspectives on how to collectively scale positive action. These discussions come at a critical time preceding the United Nations’ Climate Change COP, taking place in Glasgow, UK in November 2021.

Inspired by British physicist Stephen Hawking, who challenged humanity to ponder how we might express ourselves to alien civilisations, the UK Pavilion invites visitors to contribute to a unique linguistic experiment. While exploring this cone-shaped structure, which showcases the UK’s contributions to space science and artificial intelligence, you can add your own words to the pavilion’s neural network. A language-generating algorithm then processes these entries into an ever-changing “poem” that will be displayed on the pavilion’s LED façade, providing an inspiring collective message to Expo 2020, our planet and maybe even worlds beyond.

The awe-inspiring UK Pavilion is an epic, 20-metre-tall, cone-shaped structure compiled of rows of horizontal timber slats that stretch forward to create a circular form. The end of each slat houses a LED panel that emits phrases that link to form an ever-changing interstellar message crafted by artificial intelligence and Expo visitors.

Christiana Figueres is an internationally recognized leader on global climate change. She was Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Assuming responsibility for the international climate change negotiations after the failed Copenhagen conference of 2009, she was determined to lead the process to a universally agreed regulatory framework. She directed the successful Conferences of the Parties in Cancun 2010, Durban 2011, Doha 2012, Warsaw 2013, and Lima 2014, and culminated her efforts in the historical Paris Agreement of 2015. She brought together governments, corporations and activists, financial institutions and communities of faith, think tanks and technology providers, NGOs and parliamentarians, to jointly deliver the unprecedented climate change agreement.

H.E. Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber is a member of the UAE Federal Cabinet, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and the UAE’s special envoy for climate change. In his role as Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Dr. Al Jaber oversees efforts to further expand the industrial development of the UAE, leveraging technology as a key enabler, as we enter the Fourth Industrial Age. The core mandate of the ministry is to increase industrial competitiveness and help drive economic growth by catalyzing the diversification of the UAE’s economy. 

In November 2020, H.E. Dr. Sultan was appointed as the UAE’s special envoy for climate change, a role he previously served in from 2010 to 2016, while spearheading the UAE’s clean energy agenda at Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s Abu Dhabi’s pioneering renewable energy initiative.

Nisreen Elsaim is an environmental and climate activist who began activism in 2012, with a Bachelor's degree in physics from the University of Khartoum, Sudan. She pursued her Master's degree in renewable energy from the same university. Nisreen is also a junior negotiator with the African Group of Negotiators in technology transfer, focusing on the policies of countries regarding climate change and renewable energies. She has written several policy papers in climate change, renewable energy, gender and youth empowerment; and was recently chosen to chair the UN Secretary General youth adviser on climate change along with six other young climate activists.

Clover Hogan is a climate activist, researcher on eco-anxiety, and the Founder and Executive Director of Force of Nature: a youth non-profit mobilising mindsets for climate action. Clover has worked alongside the world’s leading authorities on sustainability, and consulted within the board rooms of Fortune 50 companies. She launched the Force of Nature podcast, serves as a trustee to Global Action Plan, and is on the advisory boards of the National Community Lottery's Climate Action Fund; and the Teach the Future campaign. Clover has taken the stage with corporate giants including the CEOs of P&G, Twitter and YouTube; alongside global change-makers such as Dr. Jane Goodall and Dr. Vandana Shiva, and interviewed the 14th Dalai Lama.

Her Excellency Dr. Nawal Al-Hosany is the Permanent Representative of the UAE to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) since April 2018. Prior to this, she was Executive Director of Sustainability at Masdar, Abu Dhabi’s renewable energy company, and the Director of the Zayed Future 
Energy Prize, the UAE’s annual global awards for renewable energy and sustainability. She also served as the Deputy Director General of the Emirates Diplomatic Academy (EDA).
She sits on several advisory boards and panels, including those of National Geographic, the Payne Institute at the Colorado School of Mines, the Momentum for Change initiative of UNFCCC, and Sustainable Energy for All’s (SEforALL) Leadership Council, a group of global leaders with the mission to accelerate action on SDG7 and the Paris Climate Agreement.

A lawyer by training, Alexandra specialized in human rights. She began her career at a law firm and then worked for Amnesty International in Germany and at organizations specializing in diversity, change management and sustainability. In 2012, she joined L’Oréal as Chief Sustainability Officer and launched L’Oréal’s first sustainability program, with a set of objectives to be achieved by the end of 2020. In 2017, Alexandra was appointed Chief Corporate Responsibility Officer, becoming the Executive Vice President of the Foundation L’Oréal in addition to her role as head of the Sustainability Department. She became a member of L’Oréal’s Executive Committee two years later. In June 2020, L’Oréal launched its new sustainability program for 2030, L’Oréal for the Future.

Ineza Umuhoza Grace an Eco-Feminist and self-motivated impact-driven actor in the climate change sector. She believes in climate justice and the power of sharing community voices. She is the founder/CEO of The Green Fighter and Co-founder/Co-director of the Loss and Damage Youth Coalition.

Archana Soreng belongs to Khadia Tribe from Odisha, India. She is member of United Nations Secretary General's Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change. She is experienced in research and advocacy, and she is working to document, preserve, and promote traditional knowledge and cultural practices of indigenous communities. She is also the member of Indigenous Working Group of YOUNGO (official children and youth constituency of UNFCCC).

Heeta Lakhani is a climate educator from Mumbai, India. She has a Masters degree in Environmental Studies & Resource Management from TERI University, New Delhi. She has been active at the local as well as international level since the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21) in 2015.  She aims to create change-makers who will take knowledge-based action in order to combat the climate crisis. Heeta wears multiple hats, serving as Director for Youth Partnerships at March For Science and Coordinator of the Youth Empowerment in Climate Actions Platform (YECAP) at UNDP Asia-Pacific Regional Hub. She also is the current Global Focal Point for YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the UNFCCC.

Jason Boberg is a proudly disabled advocate and social entrepreneur. The co-founder of the Sustained Ability Disability & Climate Network, he has advocated for disability inclusive climate action at the UNCRPD and the UNFCCC, particularly campaigning for a formal Disability Constituency to bring disabled people together and promote disability rights within the UNFCCC. As the founder of social impact agency, Activate Agency, he brings a critical disability rights lens to his work, providing training, policy advice, and media to NGOs and government. Jason is a Climate Reality Leader and Founding Trustee of the Awesome Foundation Disability Chapter. His recent work includes contributing to Climate Aotearoa, Ed. Rt Hon Helen Clark.

Winner of the 2016 International Children’s Peace Prize, Kehkashan Basu is a global influencer, environmentalist, champion of women and children’s rights, TEDx speaker, author, musician, peace and sustainability campaigner. A Forbes 30 Under 30, Kehkashan is a United Nations Human Rights Champion, a National Geographic Young Explorer, and one of Canada's Top25 Women of Influence. Kehkashan is the Founder-President of global social innovation enterprise Green Hope Foundation, that works at a grassroots level in 25 countries, empowering young people in the sustainable development process. Kehkashan has spoken at over 200 United Nations and other global forums across 40 countries.

Lucy Siegle is a journalist, broadcaster and opinion leader who specialising in climate and nature stories. As a reporter and presenter on BBC1’s The One Show, she has been reporting on the problem of single use plastic and wider eco issues since the show began in 2007. Her book, Turning the Tide on Plastic: How Humanity (and you) Can Make Our Globe Clean Again was published in 2018. Also known as an authority on the environmental and social footprint of the global fashion industry, her book To Die For: Is Fashion Wearing out the World, published by Fourth Estate London, 2011 was also the basis for hit Netflix documentary, The True Cost, (she is co-executive producer). In 2014 she co-founded the Green Carpet Challenge with Livia Firth. She contributes to newspapers including The Times, The Guardian and The Observer.

Nadia is co-founder and COO of SafetyNet Technologies (SNTech), which develops Precision Fishing technology for a sustainable future. She has increased efficiency, sustainability, and business growth of SNTech. Previously, she worked in consumer research and product development at P&G, started up her own businesses, and helped other impact organisations develop sustainable business models. She has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas, an MBA from INSEAD, and a Certificate in Social Sector Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.

Dr. Renard Siew is Board of Advisor to CENT-GPS where he is responsible for advancing the organisation’s work in the field of climate change and sustainability. He is the Founder of Accelerating Climate Action and has served as Co-Chair of the Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management Working Committee and UNEP-FI’s Collective Commitment on Climate Action. In 2020, he was appointed an SDG Champion-Climate Action by the World Economic Forum (WEF). He is a member of the WEF Expert Network Group, serves on the WEF Global Future Council, a Community Champion for Southeast Asia and a Global Lead for the Global Shapers Climate & Environment Steering Committee.

Serving as the first Future Generations Commissioner for Wales since February 2016, Sophie acts as a guardian for the interests of future generations in Wales, supporting the public bodies listed in the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015 to work towards achieving the well-being goals. Prior to this, Sophie was the first Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner for South Wales, served as a Government Special Adviser to the Cabinet and First Minister on communities, local government, community safety, housing, regeneration and equality, and at age 21, was elected as the youngest County councillor in Wales. She is currently a member of the Wales Committee of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and Chair of the international Network of Institutions for Future Generations.

Dr. Sunita Narain is an environmentalist and writer, and presently serves as the Director General of Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) and Editor of the fortnightly magazine, Down To Earth. Dr. Narain plays an active role in policy formulation on issues of environment and development in India and globally. She has co-authored influential publications on India’s environment, conducted in-depth research on the governance and management of the country’s environment and directed campaigns on air pollution control, community water management, sustainable industrialisation and food & toxins, among others. In 2016, she was featured in Time magazine's list of 100 Most Influential People in the World.

Vladislav Kaim is a young Moldovan economist and climate action and sustainability advocate with a vast experience at the UN level, as well as on multiple national and local platforms in Moldova, Russia and Sweden. He has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international economics from the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO) in 2018 and a Master’s degree in economics from Lund University (Sweden) in 2021.  In 2014, Vladislav together with two colleagues co-founded MDG (changed to SDG in 2015) International Youth Forum – one of the first youth advocacy platforms in Russia and the wider region dedicated to popularizing UN sustainability agenda and providing high school and university students with the skills and knowledge required to effectively localize Agenda 2030.

He served as a Sheriff of the City of London in 2016-17 and, in that capacity, supported the then Lord Mayor, undertaking numerous visits and official functions. On 30th September 2020 William was elected to serve a further year in office, to provide continuity of civic governance during the Coronavirus emergency. His second term began on 13 November 2020. His mayoral theme for his time in office is “Global UK –The New Future”, supporting businesses through the COVID19 crisis, speeding the recovery and seizing the opportunities of the new future. William has over thirty years’ experience in the financial and business City including holding senior positions in the national and international Banking sector.
