Ahmed Abdulaziz Alturbak

Ahmed Alturbak is a Saudi economist who started his professional career as an Economist for the Supreme Economic Council of Saudi Arabia, advising the Council on macroeconomic issues and cross-cutting Government policies. Mr. Alturbak also worked for a number of global management consulting firms, before transitioning to the World Bank Group, where he spent nearly 3 years working at the Bank’s HQ in Washington DC, focusing on the Bank’s portfolio with Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE and Oman. He contributed to projects from governments national development strategies to policy papers and reports relating to FDI and private sector growth policies, economic diversification, labor market, and others. In 2019, Ahmed joined Abu Dhabi Fund for Development as a chief economist for the operations department, where he serves to date.
