The Expo 2020 Workers’ Monument designed by Asif Khan is a celebration of the people who built the Expo site. It takes shape as a broad curve of 38 columns inscribed with the name of every construction worker involved in Expo’s creation. The shapes of the columns echo the Moon as it transforms from crescent to full. As visitors move along the path, the monument columns appear to change shape, representing the transformation of physical materials during the construction process. Walk between the columns to pay respect to the builders’ craft, and honour the act of working together to make great things.

A celebrationof togetherness
The Workers' Monument takes shape as a broad curve of 38 Omani limestone columns inscribed with the name of every construction worker involved in the creation of Expo 2020. They are thanked side by side, one by one so that everyone who visits can appreciate the effort and skill they invested for the benefit of all.
