Argentinian band Escalandrum pay tribute to the great tango composer, Astor Piazzolla on the 100 year anniversary of his birth. Formed by Daniel 'Pip' Piazzolla, the famed composer's grandson, Escalandrum have been performing for over 20 years to critical acclaim. For this musical tribute, they mix tango with jazz for a unique, fluid performance that is not to be missed.

On the occasion of Argentina's National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai, enjoy a performance, representing the country's rich culture, in tribute to the legendary tango composer Astor Piazzolla.

The Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre is a performance space hosting cultural performances and live music for seated crowds, located in Al Forsan Park. The venue’s design features a model of two Ghaf trees that intertwine above the centre of the stage.

Enjoy the music and energy of Grupo Bahía. Representative of the music and culture of Colombia's Pacific coast, Grupo Bahia preserve the roots, feeling and spirituality of Colombian sound.  Having performed for around 22 years, they are part of a cultural movement that has universal recognition. UNESCO has declared the music of the marimba and chants of Colombia’s South Pacific as “Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity”. The pavilion’s airy, free-ranging design represents Colombia itself, open and unbounded. In and around its four light-filled floors, an abundance of rhythmic attractions awaits: interactive instruments that let you play along with the music, a giant digital jukebox, holographic light shows and more.

The Colombia pavilion’s airy, playful design looks more like a three-dimensional checkerboard than a traditional building. The structure trades typical walls for a rectangular grid of colossal white metal beams and transparent panels and floors, which meet at varying levels to create a four-story tower of platforms, open air plazas, and spacious rooms that peek out in unexpected directions.

The archipelago of Comoros, off Africa’s east coast, is known for its spices and aromas: vanilla, clove, and ylang-ylang. At the Comoros Pavilion, you’ll get a fragrant tour of the islands’ “garden of marvels”, with an emphasis on sustainability.

According to Comorian legend, Mount Karthala erupted up from the ocean floor when King Solomon’s courier accidentally dropped the Queen of Sheba’s ring into the sea. As you begin your journey through the Comoros Pavilion, you’ll receive your own recycled-plastic ring that you can later toss into the Karthala crater as a symbol of your commitment to sustainability.

As the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia opens itself to the world, its contribution to Expo 2020 mirrors the nation’s grand ambitions. Boasting a vast façade that covers the area of two football pitches, the Saudi Arabia Pavilion takes the form of an opening window that soars into the sky bearing messages of inspiration.

Your Saudi experience begins in the open plaza under the pavilion, where the giant screen above and LEDs below combine to create a dazzling light show. Next, the “Heritage Path” escalator will transport you to immersive exhibits – and you can end your journey with refreshments and shopping in the pavilion’s scenic palm garden.

The monumental Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion is a mirrored slab that extends up diagonally from the ground, resembling a giant window opening toward the sky. The immense structure soars six storeys into the air and covers more than 13,000 square metres, or the area of two football pitches. The sides of the pavilion feature a decorative motif of grey horizontal lines like layered metal, while its vast underbelly — which shades an enormous plaza — is mirrored and smooth.
