In 2015, Canadian-Chinese Yike Yang became the youngest-ever laureate in the history of the International Chopin Piano Competition. A fellow competitor in the same event, Nehring is also an accomplished musician and the only Pole to win First Prize at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in Tel Aviv.
