This business briefing session is hosted by the Argentinian Pavilion, coinciding with the country's National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai. In the presence of Santiago Cafiero, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship; and Matías Lammens, Minister of Tourism and Sports; and in collaboration with the Federation of UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), the event seeks to cultivate valuable dialogue and connections with a wide range of business stakeholders with focus on the MENA region. The country's representatives and chambers explore business and investment opportunities in the Argentine tourism sector.

At Expo 2020, sustainability is an urgent, attainable reality, and Terra – The Sustainability Pavilion is the proof. Both immersive exhibition space and exemplar of environmental self-sufficiency, Terra is a pioneering piece of architecture that pushes the limits of renewable design.

The pavilion’s 130-metre-wide solar canopy – so vast that you could park 10 city buses head-to-tail atop it – converts sunshine into electricity for the exhibits below. Artfully funnelled natural light and local plant species, together with technologies that can reduce water consumption by 75 per cent, show the way to a sustainable future.

The Greece Pavilion offers a delightfully modern spin on the myth of Ariadne – whose string helped Theseus escape the Minotaur’s labyrinth – inviting you to trace her blue “thread” through a maze of exhibits showcasing Greek culture and industry.

Your personal Greek odyssey at Expo will include stops to explore the country’s food, traditions, tourism industry and more, culminating in your arrival at a quintessentially Greek open-air patio, cooled by a wind tower.

Hosted by Societe Generale, under its commitment to the Global Compact UAE and the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), this panel discussion addresses the challenges, best practices, research and insights into women-owned businesses by featuring experienced leaders and partners from the region.

Jen Blandos, entrepreneurship advisor at UN Women and CEO of Female Fusion, alongside Walid Faza, from MSA Capital, talk about what potential investors look for in the business and what systems and structures they need to have in place nowdays to be ready for the future. Participants also have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas and receive feedback from Walid.
