The Israel Pavilion reflects the region’s spirit of openness with an architectural design that features no walls or borders. Day and night, the pavilion dazzles with its seven towering “Gates to the Future”, which feature dynamic floor-to-ceiling LED screens. From the wide entryway, you’ll climb an imaginative desert slope – symbolising the landscape that Israel and the Arabian Gulf region share – on your way to a wealth of experiences. Put on a pair of virtual reality (VR) goggles for a camera tour, catch the immersive “Let’s Connect” audio-visual show and don’t forget to snap a picture in the augmented reality-enhanced photo zone.

Complementing its theme of openness and cultural exchange, the Israel Pavilion at Expo 2020 features an airy design composed of seven tall, square-shaped gates that reach over a sandy desert slope. These thin, closely-spaced gates feature bright LED screens on the inside and a combination of Hebrew and Arabic inscriptions on the outside.

This archipelago nation is a paradise of white-sand beaches spread across nearly 1,200 islands and surrounded by the Indian Ocean. It’s also home to some of the world’s best diving and snorkelling, among coral reefs and rainbows of tropical fish. Discover cultural highlights such as dance and drum performances, as well as traditional Maldivian dishes. Inspired by the country’s “environment first” philosophy, the pavilion also charts the nation’s historical and ongoing initiatives to achieve a sustainable future.

The Greece Pavilion offers a delightfully modern spin on the myth of Ariadne – whose string helped Theseus escape the Minotaur’s labyrinth – inviting you to trace her blue “thread” through a maze of exhibits showcasing Greek culture and industry.

Showcasing numerous cutting-edge exhibits, the pavilion takes visitors on a tour of Denmark’s past and thriving green future. Inside a building designed to evoke the Danish flag, journey through Danish history and trademark “hygge” (or cosy) culture, learn about the nation’s ambitious goal to cut 70 per cent of its carbon emissions by 2030 and take in expansive views of Expo from the breezy rooftop café and lounge.
