Lace up your sneakers and Run The World alongside 11-time world champion and 8-time Olympic gold medalist, Usain Bolt. As Gatorade’s brand ambassador, Usain Bolt has repeatedly challenged definitions of what’s possible – pushing boundaries, setting records and making history.

Sports, health and wellbeing should be accessible, inclusive and representative of society at large. Whether you’re a mega-athlete or someone who lives an active lifestyle, everyone should get moving and have fun while doing it. In partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, PepsiCo has arranged this Fun Run, inviting everyone to run for a good cause and to raise funds for Al Noor Rehabilitation & Welfare Association for People of Determination.

The 1.45 km Fun Run track will take you through Ghaf Avenue, passing through all three of Expo 2020 Dubai’s thematic districts and a host of International Participant pavilions. From start to finish, those participating will literally run the world. There is no better way to begin your day at Expo 2020 Dubai – Usain Bolt will see you on the start line!

During the course of the pandemic, the world has experienced a period of ambiguity concerning our physical, mental and financial futures. These uncertainties caused by an “unknown” virus also brought about a new wave of social stigmas, causing many echelles of society to be negatively stereotyped and discriminated against with a wave on misinformation across various media platforms.

In order to transcend beyond these pressures, many turned to mental health exercises like mindfulness, using the practice as a buffer to counter pandemic related distress. We can cultivate mindfulness by giving attention to our present moment and thoughts as it rewires our minds to adopt more compassionate and empathetic responses to manifest the world we want, a world that values Truth Over Headlines. 

Marking Health and Wellness week at Expo 2020 Dubai, Dignified Storytelling presents “Unlocking the Mind” to help participants revisit the significance of mental health in order to achieve optimal physical health during and beyond the pandemic. Through a series of academic talks and a guided meditation session, we will learn how to rewire our thought processes.

Join us as we hear from Omar Shehadeh, Chief International Participants Officer at Expo 2020 Dubai who will touch on the stigmas created during the the pandemic and the role of media in mitigating or fuelling these threats. We will then hear from Dr. Reem Al Gurg, Director of Strategy and Institutional Excellence at MBRU, as she talks about the importance of academia and public awareness regarding stigmas created by the pandemic. The session continues with Edyta Satchell, founder and CEO Satchelle Global Wellness and Christine Kritzas, psychologist and Education Director of Lighthouse Arabia, who will shed light on the significance of mindsets and nutrition. Finally, Abeer Ayash, Wellness Professional from Home of Wellness will take us through a guided meditation session to help the audience refresh their minds.

As the caretakers of Earth’s mightiest waterway, the epic Amazon River, Brazilians have a unique appreciation of the beauty, power and importance of our shared water resources. Now, with the meditative Brazil Pavilion, they’ve brought an authentic, multisensory Amazonian experience to the Dubai desert. Strikingly fashioned from tensile steel and white fabric, the pavilion recreates the sights, sounds and even aromas of the Amazon basin, complete with a thin flood of water in the main exhibit area and immersive projections of the rainforest all around. And don’t worry: If you’d rather not get your feet wet, boots will be provided.

The Brazil Pavilion is an immense, shallow rectangular pool carved with gentle curves. A boxy, 18-metre-high steel structure stretched with translucent, white fabric panels seems to float over the pool on columns, referencing Brazil’s riverside stilt houses.
