Thanae and the Balkan Paradise Orchestra
Known for her charisma and energetic stage presence, Omani singer-songwriter Thanae has been performing since the age of 15. She reached the top ten in her category on X Factor Greece, sung live with the Gipsy Kings, and recorded music for the Royal Opera House, Muscat in both Arabic and English for the opera ‘L’elsir d’amore’. Her performance at Expo 2020 will showcase her extraordinary talent.
The Balkan Paradise Orchestra is an unusual and ground-breaking project that started at the beginning of 2015 in Barcelona. Comprised entirely of women, the 11 wind and percussion players bring energy, power and joy to their performances based on traditional Balkan wind orchestras. See these award-winning musicians take to the stage at Expo 2020 to perform a transportive set that will take you on an emotional odyssey.
