At the DP World Pavilion, you’ll explore the local history and future of cargo through the theme of “Making Trade Flow”, demonstrating the many ways that the movement of goods affects our lives.

From the prototype Hyperloop Cargospeed pod outside the pavilion to the technologies featured within, visitors can tour the full panorama of global trade through real-time visualisations of worldwide cargo traffic, augmented-reality exhibits, digital games and more.

DP World Flow Pavilion is a stout, five-storey structure with rounded corners, which features alternating bands of glass and steel. Tall, thin slats climb up the length of the building and curve in a thin strip around its sides. Flowing lines of red, green, and white enliven this external façade.

Marisa Drew is responsible for setting the sustainable strategy and ambition for the bank and for creating and facilitating sustainable investments on behalf of Credit Suisse's wealth management, institutional and corporate clients. Ms. Drew has been with Credit Suisse for 18 years and in the investment banking industry for over 30 years. Prior to this, she was the Co-Head of the Investment Banking and Capital Markets Division, EMEA. In terms of external roles, she was appointed in 2020 as a non-executive director of the Swiss telecoms provider, Sunrise Communications AG. She also serves on the advisory boards of numerous leadership, sustainability, humanitarian, environmental and civil society organizations, including the Aspen Institute UK and the Milken Institute Center for Strategic Philanthropy among others.

Originally from Dorset in England, Dr. Max Graham has been involved in studying and conserving elephants in Africa for the last 20 years.  He was awarded his PhD and Rugby Blue from Cambridge University in 2007. In 2011, in response to poachers killing several elephants he was studying, Max founded the international conservation organisation, Space for Giants. Today, Max continues to lead Space for Giants' work in 10 African countries with an increasing focus on attracting conservation and tourism investment to protect and restore the continent's remaining natural ecosystems. He lives with his family on a wildlife conservancy in the foothills of Mt Kenya.

Dr. McBain has more than 20 years of experience in sustainability roles across various sectors. She was the Chief Sustainability Officer at Thai Union Group, a global seafood supplier conglomerate. Dr. McBain holds a PhD in social indicators for global supply chain analysis and a Masters in business strategy, politics and environment; she was named as a UN Sustainable Development Goal Pioneer for a Sustainable Ocean Economy. She has served as the Sustainable Procurement Lead for the United Kingdom’s NHS, advised the UN, worked with WWF, and headed her own consultancy. She is a lecturer of Integrated Sustainability Analysis at the University of Sydney, a Director and Board Member for Be Slavery Free, a Non-Executive Director for Indonesian palm oil producer M.P. Evans, and a Walton Family Foundation Fellow.

Elizabeth Maruma Mrema is the Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity. She has worked with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) for over two decades and was the Director of Law Division at UNEP. Prior to that, she was Deputy Director of the Ecosystems Division, in charge of coordination, operations and programme delivery. She also served as Executive Secretary of the UNEP/Secretariat of the Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals. Her work at UNEP has focused on development, implementation and enforcement of environmental laws, including multilateral environmental agreements at national, regional and international levels.

Dr. Ian Cruickshank is the Transport Taskforce manager for United for Wildlife responsible for establishing and managing the regional transport taskforces around the world that work to eradicate the illegal wildlife trade. Ian is a 20-year veteran of the aviation industry and has over a decade of experience in the environmental sustainability space.

Minnie Degawan is an indigenous Kanakanaey Igorot from the Cordillera, Philippines.  She has a long history of working and promoting Indigenous Peoples rights.  She joined Conservation International five years ago to influence how conservation is implemented and ensure that Indigenous Peoples rights are upheld by conservation groups.  She is currently based in the Philippines.

Dr. Reem Al Mealla is the Research Manager at the Bahrain Institute for Pearls and Gemstones (DANAT) and a marine biologist by profession. She is the first Bahraini woman field ecologist and holds a PhD in Marine Biology from the University of Essex (UK) & a MSc in Ecology, Evolution and Conservation from Imperial College London (UK). She was awarded the Abel Imray Award (joint) from the University of Essex for the best outstanding research project of the year 2010 in an ecological based project and the M.E.I (Motivational. Empowering and Inspiring) Women's Award in 2017 by the University of Essex in celebration of International Women's Day. She specialises in coral reef ecology and has over 10 years of field research experience in tropical and sub-tropical environments.

Sander Keulen is the Head of Business Development at Land Life Company. He develops innovative business models and helps customers to realize their sustainability ambition. With a thorough understanding of the carbon markets, he works with global corporations, governments and NGOs to develop large-scale reforestation projects that mitigate climate change and restore ecosystems. Sander brings over 28 years of international business development experience to Land Life Company. He is a driver for change and is passionate about delivering sustainable and tangible impact. Sander holds an MSc from Delft University in Earth Sciences and an MBA from Cornell University.

Slovenia has become known as the green heart of Europe for its lush forests and picturesque lakes, and the nation is sharing this at Expo 2020. With its huge plant-covered façade and stylish “floating forest” feel, the Slovenia Pavilion is a soothing green oasis where you can explore the country’s natural treasures and sustainable solutions.

The pavilion boasts exhibits such as multisensory 360-degree projected movies and a virtual heartbeat composed of visitors’ unique biosignatures. It also focuses on the cherished Slovenian tradition of beekeeping, with features about honey spas and Slovenia’s other bee-themed tourism attractions.

The architectural team behind the Slovenia Pavilion used the simple words “water, greenery, wood” as a jumping off point to build a dreamy floating forest. The central building is an immense glass and steel oval structure almost entirely covered in a vertical garden of local plants and flowers in varying shades of green. This cloud-like forest is set on columns that hover over a shallow pool that represents Slovenia’s lakes and rivers.
