A kaleidoscope is only a small tube, but look through its lens and an entire galaxy of colour explodes into view. This is the philosophy behind the prismatic Monaco Pavilion, an exquisitely designed offering from one of the world’s tiniest nations that nevertheless showcases a wealth of Monégasque treasures.

From first sight, the pavilion dazzles with its gemlike, solar-panel-covered main façade, inspired by the principality’s legendary Rock of Monaco. And just like the famously maze-like streets of Monaco itself, the pavilion’s layout offers surprises around every corner: interactive penguins, unforgettable kaleidoscopic visual displays and more.


The Monaco Pavilion honors the country’s legendary Rock of Monaco with a design that centres on a large, boulder-like structure covered in reflective solar panels at the front of a long, rectangular building. Visitors climb up a series of ramps set amid a stylized rocky terrain planted with trees and flowers to reach the striking, stone-like form. The sides of the pavilion are painted with a colorful, dazzling kaleidoscopic pattern, echoing the mirror-like motif of its grand centrepiece.

Expo 2020 Dubai hosts the inaugural "Abraham Accords Festival and Games" at the Sports, Fitness and Wellbeing Hub. The event features national soccer legends from the Abraham Accords countries taking on international football stars in a 3-rounds game of 15-minutes long each. 3x3 is a basketball tournament organised by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). It is inspired from several forms of street basketball played worldwide and is considered the world’s number one urban team sport. As the name entails, the 3x3 game consists of two teams of three players facing off on a basketball half-court.

It was introduced successfully for the first time in the 2020 Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Since then it has been launched on a yearly basis, consisting of professional circuits for men, women, and national-team competitions. FIBA 3x3 made its Olympic debut at the latest Tokyo 2020 Games, and for the first time ever the games are held in Dubai at Expo Sports Arena.
