Women and Sustainability: Four Perspectives from Architecture, Design, Education and the Corporate World
A panel discussion on women and the challenge of sustainability, highlighting perspectives from the fields of architecture, design, education and business. Top international voices will join the conversation, to speak about topics of gender, identity, sustainability, design and handcraft, and artisan heritage.
On the panel is Patricia Urquiola, globally-renowned designer and architect; Dina Storey, Director of Sustainability of Expo 2020; Lorena del Río, Director of projects at SEGIPSA and specialist in Urbanism, Planning and Environment; Juan Roldán, Professor at the American University of Sharjah College of Architecture, Jesús Llinares, CEO of Andreu World; and Samer Yamani, Founder and Director of Creative Dialogue. The talk will be moderated by Lena Marcuccili, Head Content Director of Love that Design.
The audience will be invited to participate in discussions on the connections between diversity, ecology and innovation. Members of the panel will speak about how to create and manufacture product and furniture design as part of a circular economy, using sustainable materials. This event offers the opportunity to explore the contributions and actions of women in relation to the sustainable design movement, discover the future of work and wellbeing, and understand the challenges of sustainable design.
